>Harrington, DE --- Four Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) divisions of 3-year-old trotters went postward in $20,000 elimination legs Sunday at Harrington Raceway.

Nanticoke Racing and Ross Wolfenden’s Windshield (Wolfenden, 2:00.4) was the fastest of the colt divisions, which were held as non-wagering events. The 3-year-old Political Briefing was a two length winner over I’m So Striking and Drew’s Lil Buddy. Windshield was trained by Les Givens.

Rod Allen Inc. and Arthur Mergenhagen’s Flash Commando (Carlo Poliseno) won the other colt division in 2:05.4 over Bold Strike and This Is It Sam. Flash Commando, a CR Commando colt, claimed his third lifetime win for trainer/driver Poliseno.

The fastest divisional winner came among the fillies as Nanticoke Racing and Delbert Cain’s Alleigh Girl scored a 1:59.2 triumph over Bosston Bell and Jodi Lin. Also trained by Givens, Alleigh Girl, a Don Boss Vita filly, sat behind pacesetting Bosston Bell, a half-sister to world champion and 2012 Horse of the Year San Pail, throughout before surging by at the top of the stretch.

Skuttlebutt won the remaining filly division for owners Morgan and Jeanne McInnis. The Cr Commando filly was a front stepping winner in 2:02 over Ja’s Charmer and Da Boss Lady.

Ross Wolfenden drove four winners on the card.

Bret Brittingham had three driving wins.

Monday’s program will feature the 3-year-old pacing colts in round one of DSBF action.
